With two homes under construction and newly released pricing, now is the perfect time to rediscover the Great Lawn Homes in the heart of The Reserve Village. The Carver Group, luxury home builder out of Travelers Rest, has been selected as the builder for both new homes under construction. We are seeing a trend towards smaller size homes with high-end finishes and quality construction. This is the same approach The Carver Group is working on now with The Carver Cottages concept. Please take a moment to check out the link on our home page to The Carver Cottages and conceptual drawings to the homes described above.
The Carver Group is excited to announce the completion of our booth at the new Cliffs’ Design Center located off Highway 11 across from The Cliffs at Mountain Park in Travelers Rest, SC. Reflecting our commitment to quality, our booth has been designed and constructed to display a variety of unique materials and offers clients a chance to see a sample of the craftsmanship that is the hallmark of The Carver Group. The Design Center is available by appointment only, so please contact TL Baldree, Director of Business Development for The Carver Group, at 864-430-8423 to make arrangements for a visit today.
It comes with great pleasure to welcome our newest member to the Carver Group, Janine Entwistle. Janine comes to us after a five year stint with the Cliffs. She will be working in the capacity of assistant project manager. This is exciting in the respect that we believe she will be a good asset to our company but most importantly this means that we have some work and need some help! It’s been a huge dry spell from our last housing start. We’ve been very fortunate to have had some very nice remodel projects, but nothing like some fresh coming out of the ground starts.
We have two new projects starting at the Reserve at Lake Keowee, side by side on the Great Lawn, and we have a nice addition to a home at Cliffs Falls South. We have been given a verbal commitment for a new home at Cliffs of Glassy, which is currently being designed. We are getting some more serious looks than we have had in the past couple of years.
We are making a concerted effort to get a presence in NW North Carolina, specifically Cashiers and Lake Toxaway. We had previously built five homes there in the 2004-’06 time frame and look forward to getting back into that market.
One thing I am trying to impress upon our newest potential clients is that we are most definitely past the bottom as far as costs to build. Commodities are on the upswing, especially fuel driven products.
Keep up with our changes and progress as we’ll keep you updated as things continue to change.
I am writing today with great excitement, to tell you that we have gotten our cottage concepts plans completed and priced! I’ve had this idea of a need for this type of home at our local resort communities for years, but until the downturn in our economy, there hadn’t seem to be much interest. These plans were designed in collaboration with Brad Wright of Wright Design, LLC. The idea behind these plans was to design an interesting, unique, and economical cottage for those folks wanting to be either at the lake or in mountains without spending a fortune on their home. The key word here is economical. Both economical to build and economical to own. The thought behind the design was to make this a comfortable size, for family and friends, without compromising the level of quality and unique details that The Carver Group is known for. I have pricing for these to be built on your lot or our associates can find just the right lot for you to have us build one of these designs on. Click on the Carver Cottage tab for the renderings at this time and call our office for specific details.
As we approach the end of 2009, I am finding that the cost to build that new home is as low as it is going to go. Across the board, both the subs and suppliers are at all time lows. My hope is that the consumers will begin to feel a sense of confidence again in our economy and take advantage of these great building times.
